Watch Out For Those Hong Kong Crosswinds
Having flown into Hong Kong’s old airport at Kai Tak more than a few times I can attest to the fact that landing there even on a fair day is a bit of a testy experience as your aircraft skims over mountain tops and building tops on its way to the too short runway with all of that water at the end.
The passengers on this Japan Airlines 747 must have been turning green as their aircraft fights a stiff crosswind on their final approach.
The pilot makes a recovery just in time to avert a disaster.
