Thinking about buying or selling a property in Destin, Florida? You’ve done all of your research ahead of time, we hope?. Are you ready; really ready? I’ve taken care of more than 50 million dollars of real estate transactions and I have a few tips for you which can help.
My opinion is that 5% of agents or brokers are awesome and about 95% offer little value. I know that is a harsh statement but I have really found it to be true both in Destin and in every other real estate market in which I have participated. In this article, what I will do is assume you are looking to buy a property with a Destin using a realtor.
First, go to Google and search the phrase “Destin Realtor”. You’ll get abut a zillion results ? start looking at the pages which come up. What do you notice about them?
Probably that almost all of them look exactly the same. The typical realtor’s website you’ll find will have a smiling photo of the realtor, a place to search MLS, a spot for their listings, an about me section and a brief profile of the community ? everything a prospective buyer needs, right?
But what these sites won’t tell you is whether or not the realtor knows what they’re talking about. I already know that any realtor can show me the MLS listings and take me to see some properties.

In the never ending search for interesting vacation destination tourists continue to open up new areas to tourism. However there are plenty of highly fascinating areas of the world that have always had a small degree of tourism which more and more people are now discovering to their delight. Also there are a number of vacation destination which were in decline but are now experiencing renewed interest. One of the most interesting places in the world which are seeing a marked increase in tourism are the Western Isles of Scotland.
In the very early days of tourism people went to great lengths to travel to destinations which had very different reasons for their appeal. However, in general, it could be said that these early destinations became popular for such reasons as their outstanding beauty, educational reasons, being a great place for social networking or for just being a great place to enjoy yourself. Such reasons made sense during the times of the Grand Tour of Europe.
In the United Kingdom, during the early days of the tourist industry, people generally tended to visit places not too far from where they lived or worked. Working men and women often had only the annual works outing to look forward to, which was attended by all of the employees while their work place was closed. Those of more means were able to venture further and some even went as far as traveling to the islands of St Kilda in the Western Isles of Scotland.

As one of the most amazing works of architecture, Ca’ d’Oro has quite a claim to being world renowned and they definitely deserve the honor.
Influences from the Middle East and throughout the continent were enjoyed by Venice which has helped them to remain a big part of trade for centuries. This cosmopolitan city’s architecture is affected by the mixture of trade and influence from places beyond.
Ca’ d’Oro sits beside the Grand Canal which is known as the main waterway for the city. Constructed during the 15th century, the home was inhabited by the Contarini family after 1430 who were a quasi-noble and well known family. Between 1043 and 1676, the Contarini family gave eight of their own as doges to Venice.
Decorated in a pink and white facade along with remnants of past gold leafing (which gave the building its name), is a gothic style Venetian classic. With arches of the Byzantine style that are pointed, and carved posts that elaborately bear capitals, the building has only a small resemblance to the Greek. A popular architect of the time period named Giovanni Bon created the floral-like designs found throughout.
In a colonnaded loggia accessible from the canal level, you will find the entrance on the ground floor. An awe inspiring enclosed balcony located upstairs can be found right outside the art gallery. Although this view from outside is impressive, once inside it’s even more so.
